I’ve fallen in love with this trend of “artist” hotels ever since I stayed at the hotel fox in copenhagen this summer. Now i’ve discovered that there are TWO great artist hotels located less than hour from me in San Francisco. The First one is Hotel Tomo, a best western owned boutique hotel inspired by Japanese Pop Culture and anime. The hotel is all about video games, and features a “player suite” equipped with a fatboy lounge, Wii, PS3, and a giant TV to play it on.
Another Hotel to check out is the Hotel Des Arts which is an amazing boutique hotel with every wall covered with custom works by local artists. You must go see the “room” gallery on their website to see all these fantastic rooms!
